A big congratulations to Ilse Kuijf, our TTT25 champion and back-to-back winner after also taking the TTT24 title!
On her way to victory, she passed Noortje Platenburg (Eindhoven) in the semifinal and battled through an exciting final against Marien Raat (Leiden) to lift the trophy. This all took place yesterday at the Quantum Students Finals & Showcase in the House of Quantum Delft – a fully student-centered event featuring the Centre for Quantum and Society's Challenge and the TiqTaqToe.nl 2025 final matches.
Highlights of the day: Evert van Nieuwenburg, TiqTaqToe’s creator, explained how often the game is now being played worldwide. The new website of the Quantum Talent & Learning Centers (TLCs) was officially announced by Hilde Wijngaard and is now live.
In a huge success story for quantum games connecting with society, Dimitri van Esch’s Quantum Realm for Minecraft has now reached double the goal of a million downloads!
This event was a significant indication of how student engagement and quantum games are making a tangible impact in the International Year of Quantum 2025.
